Brazilian Rice
1 cup white long grain rice
1 1/2 cups hot water
half of a small onion
1 clove crushed garlic (optional)
1/2 teaspoon of Knnor chicken bullion powder (or 1/4 of a cube)
3 tablespoons canola oil

Directions
Rinse the rice in water
Drain well and set aside
In a small saucepan sautee onion and garlic in oil until soft
Add the bullion powder (or 1/4 of bullion cube)
Add the rice, stir well to coat every grain of rice with oil
Add the water, bring it up to a boil, cover it...AND DON'T PEAK...
Let it simmer for 20 minutes on low heat.
Uncover and fluff rice with fork.
Serve with black beans and your favorite meat and veggies
